Nathalie NKOULOU is a Cameroonian and craft entrepreneur, who designs, manufactures and distributes pieces that are unique and original under the MbiOulou brand that she launched in 2020. The brand specializes in the patina of shoes, fashion and decoration accessories. Entirely made and sewn by hand with vegetable tanned leather for a reduced ecological impact and mainly from Cameroon.
Having decided to settle in Cameroon where she is from to give free rein to her passion, Nathalie holds a diploma course at the Business School of Lausanne in Switzerland but is completely self-taught in the field of crafts. Her first creations were accessories made for friends, out of passion and over time. Nathalie relatives have never ceased to appreciate the authentic and original side of my work. This motivated her to create her own brand with a goal: to give back to African leather goods its letters of nobility and all the place it deserves in the world of Art.

Nathalie makes every effort to achieve this, among other things, through certifications and training. The latest she received from the LVMH group is a certification in the Luxury Industry. She also had the honor of receiving the Excellence in African Women’s Leadership Award from Empowering Women International. And selected by the International Trade Center to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai.
One of her long-term objectives is to create a Training Center for Artcraft because the leather work and leather goods are traditionally exclusively reserved for men, particularly in the northern region of Cameroon. Nathalie would therefore like to encourage and train women interested or passionate about this art. And provide them with useful lessons in entrepreneurship.

Moreover, she remains committed to the fight for gender equality and opportunities, for the autonomy of African women. And the recognition of their participation in the development of Africa.
As such, Nathalie is a volunteer member of the FONDAF association, Notre Dame de la Forêt Foundation (as an active member and member of the board of directors). Which supports the education of Pygmy children in southern Cameroon. By offering them boarding schools, schools and specialized educators near their camps. Nathalie’s company donates a small part of their sales as a contribution to its operation.

In the desire to act as a responsible citizen and to participate in the community development of society. Thus, trying to meet the criteria of sustainable development, act for the collective good and not only for her own interests, with the aim of improving certain social and environmental issues. Nathalie believes in her dream, in Made in Africa Luxury. She believes in Africa, in the African Woman, in community development and in her social responsibility as humans.
